Throughout the year, short term ministry teams visit Mi Refugio to provide medical services, work on construction projects and work directly with the children through teaching. The teams represent a multitude of denominations and are from various states and countries. There is no typical person who particpates in these ministries as all age groups and backgrounds are well represented.

Thanks in part to short term mission teams, the ministry of Mi Refugio continues to expand and grow. In 2006 the sewing ministry began to provide a life skill that may help children and local village adults to find employment. 2007 saw the addition of baking classes. Ministry teams were the happy recipients of some of the class projects!
